Numerosi e interessanti temi sono stati al centro della riunione del Centro di Eccellenza del progetto comunitario Interreg ARCA ADRIATICA svoltosi on line nei giorni scorsi. Il Centro di Eccellenza è composto da 21 rappresentanti di cooperative e associazioni imprenditoriali del settore turistico, istituzioni scolastiche, agenzie turistiche, associazioni culturali e sportive del territorio e ha il compito di affiancare il Comune di San Benedetto del Tronto nell’attuazione del progetto comunitario “ARCA Adriatica” finanziato dall’Unione Europea e che vede istituzioni di Italia e Croazia insieme con l’obiettivo di sviluppare un prodotto turistico comune, basato sul patrimonio culturale marittimo delle due sponde dell’Adriatico.

La riunione ha visto i partecipanti esaminare il progetto di un primo pacchetto turistico che contenga proposte di visite a presìdi della civiltà marinara, l’ipotesi di creazione di un’associazione temporanea d’imprese tra i componenti del Centro d’Eccellenza, le modalità di gestione ed utilizzo a scopo turistico -culturale delle barche storiche sambenedettesi che, sempre grazie ai finanziamenti erogati nell’ambito di ARCA ADRIATICA, si stanno restaurando.

Nel corso dei lavori Guido Capanna Piscè, docente universitario, responsabile della Carta Europea del Turismo Sostenibile per il parco Torre del Cerrano in Abruzzo e consulente del progetto, ha anche analizzato i risultati dei questionari somministrati nelle settimane scorse ai componenti del Centro e che hanno restituito la “fotografia” della percezione del sistema turistico della Città di San Benedetto e del suo comprensorio. La prossima riunione del Centro di Eccellenza è in programma per il 26 aprile.

Several interesting topics were at the centre of the meeting of the Centre of Excellence of the EU Interreg project ARCA ADRIATICA held online in the last few days. The Centre of Excellence is composed of 21 representatives of cooperatives and entrepreneurial associations in the tourism sector, educational institutions, tourist agencies, cultural and sports associations of the territory and has the task to support the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto in the implementation of the EU project "ARCA Adriatica" financed by the European Union which sees institutions from Italy and Croatia working together with the aim of developing a common tourism product, based on the maritime cultural heritage of the two sides of the Adriatic Sea.

At the meeting, the participants examined the design of an initial tourist package to visit maritime heritage sites, the possibility of setting up a temporary association of companies including the members of the Centre of Excellence, and the methods for managing and using for tourism and cultural purposes the historic boats of San Benedetto which are being restored.

During the meeting, Guido Capanna Piscè, university lecturer, responsible for the European Charter of Sustainable Tourism for Torre del Cerrano Park in Abruzzo and project consultant, also analysed the results of the questionnaires administered in recent weeks to the members of the Centre, which provided a "snapshot" of the perception of the tourism system of the city of San Benedetto and its district. The next meeting of the Centre of Excellence is scheduled for 26 April.
