The Archives of the City of St. Benedetto del Tronto contains documents produced by the local authorities from 1700 to 1970 or so, with excerpts of documents dating back to 1600.

The paper-based volume of the Historical archive is approximately 1,730 units (including boxes, folders and registry). The oldest document the "Statute of Fermo", a collection of laws and regulations of the department of the Papal States in 1570. There are also some aggregate funds such as the Society of Mutual Aid, the E.C.A., of Reconciliation, the National Opera of Motherhood and Childhood (ONMI) and some documentary series such as records of the deliberations and the Protocol.
